About Doctoury

FAQ — About Doctoury

General questions about what Doctoury is and how it works.

What is Doctoury?
Doctoury is a digital healthcare platform that connects patients with doctors and pharmacies in Iraq, helping users discover healthcare providers, book appointments, communicate with doctors and pharmacies, and organize their health information through the app.
Is Doctoury a medical service or hospital?
No. Doctoury is a digital platform that helps users reach healthcare providers and the services available through the platform. Diagnosis, treatment, and medical decisions are provided by doctors and qualified medical providers.
Is Doctoury available across Iraq?
Doctoury works to provide access to doctors and pharmacies across Iraq's governorates and cities. Available services and the number of providers may vary by area.
Do I need an account to use Doctoury?
You can browse information available on the website, while some services — such as booking appointments, managing your health information, and communicating with providers — require the Doctoury app and an account.
Is using Doctoury free?
Browsing doctors and pharmacies and discovering providers is free for patients. Medical service or consultation fees may vary by doctor or service, and fees are shown before you confirm.
What does it mean for a doctor or pharmacy to be verified?
A verified status means the doctor's or pharmacy's information and required documents have gone through Doctoury's review process. A verification badge is not a guarantee of treatment outcomes or care quality.
Can I use the website without the app?
You can browse doctors, pharmacies, and general information on the website. Booking appointments, messaging, and managing your health information require the Doctoury app.
How does Doctoury protect my data?
Doctoury handles user information according to its Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when needed to provide services. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I contact support?
You can reach the Doctoury team at info@doctoury.com.
Does Doctoury sell user data?
No. Doctoury does not sell personal user data for commercial purposes. See our Privacy Policy for how data is used and shared.

For Patients

FAQ — Patients

Everything you need to know about finding care, booking, and managing your health on Doctoury.

How do I book an appointment with a doctor?
Search for a doctor by name, specialty, or city on the doctor directory, view their profile, and book directly through the Doctoury app. Your appointment appears under the Pending tab until the doctor confirms.
Can I have a video consultation instead of visiting in person?
Yes — doctors who offer online consultations can be booked for a video call through the app, powered by Agora. Call data is not recorded or stored by Doctoury.
How do I order medication from a pharmacy?
Send a photo of your prescription to a pharmacy through the app. The pharmacy reviews it, sends you a price, and once you confirm, they prepare your order for pickup.
How much does it cost to use Doctoury?
Browsing and booking on Doctoury is free. Consultation fees are set individually by each doctor, and medication prices are set by each pharmacy — you'll always see the price before confirming.
Is my medical information private?
Your health information is shared only with the doctor you book with or the pharmacy you order from, and with Doctoury's authorized staff for platform support — never sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Can I upload lab reports and track my medical history?
Yes — you can upload lab reports and images to your profile, and keep a running medical history that your doctors can reference when you book with them.
Does Doctoury remind me to take my medication?
Yes — you can set up medication reminders that notify you when it's time to take a dose, and log whether you took it or skipped it.
What if I have a medical emergency?
Doctoury is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately rather than booking through the app.
What languages is Doctoury available in?
The app is available in English and Arabic.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app, or request deletion from our Delete Account page if you no longer have the app installed.
